Maintenance of conveyor line

There are many reasons for the slippage of the conveyor line during production and operation. The following conveyor line manufacturers will explain the common problems and handling methods they often encounter during operation:

Firstly, the load on the conveyor belt of the food conveyor line is too large, exceeding the capacity of the motor to carry the load, resulting in slipping. At this point, the transportation volume of the transported materials should be reduced or the load-bearing capacity of the conveyor itself should be increased.

The second issue is that the startup speed of the food conveyor line is too fast, which causes slipping. At this point, it is advisable to start slowly or jog twice again before restarting to overcome the phenomenon of slipping.

The third issue is that the initial tension is too small. The reason is that the tension of the conveyor line when leaving the drum is insufficient, causing the conveyor belt to slip. The method of handling this is to adjust the tensioning device and increase the initial tension.

The fourth issue is that the bearings of the drum are damaged and do not rotate. The reason may be that there is too much dust accumulation or that components that have been severely worn and cannot rotate flexibly have not been repaired and replaced in a timely manner, resulting in increased resistance and slipping.

The fifth issue is the insufficient friction between the conveyor drum and the conveyor belt, resulting in slipping. The reason is mostly due to moisture on the conveyor belt or humid working environment. At this point, a little rosin powder should be added to the drum.
